James Dobson - Focus on the Huck-ily

Dobson seems to have come a little late to the party - thanks for the gift though.

Click Here for the story on Dobson supporting Huckabee.

He says he could have supported Romney as well - which leads me to wonder if he would have been able to support Jim Jones or David Koresh if they had run for President and been conservative enough. Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm. (I really am old)

Romney, McCain or Huckabee? Hillary? Obama?

I'm amazed at Romney winning the caucuses in Montana, Minnesota and North Dakota. There are truly 3 candidates left in the Republican Presidential race. In my mind, Huckabee has some issues that I perceive as weaknesses - however, so do Romney and McCain.

I can't, with a good conscience, vote for Romney - whether he's a Presidential candidate or on the ticket. McCain, with a solid VP, I could live with - but in my mind, Huckabee's the man. A man led by the Spirit, with an incredible plan that I've backed for years - abolish the IRS!

A national sales tax makes sense. Consumption is taxed - the rich will always consume. The middle class - that feels a need to get ahead - can limit spending and save for starting a small business, retirement or college for the kids. No doubt, a national sales tax would require that the plan be instigated over time - add a small percentage sales tax (2%) and lower taxes, continue to up the sales tax and lower income tax over five to ten years and we will have arrived. To me, this is a huge issue. Illegal immigration, while a big issue, is secondary in my mind. We are not going to restore America's image, in the eyes of the World, overnight. Foreign policy is a huge issue as well - but I would rather have a guy in office who seeks a higher counsel in these matters and I truly believe that Huckabee is the right man for this present time. Hillary? Obama? You've got to be kidding me America - the dems are a disaster waiting to happen.

This is a year where I would have considered a moderate dem - but there's no way I could vote for either of the front runners. Never in my lifetime have I been so distressed by the favorites - Huckabee is the only one left - the only one who I could easily vote for - so I'm praying today for a miracle - Huckabee for President!
